Ann Kritzinger

KRITZINGER, Ann, British printer. Awarded the first prize in the 2001 British Female Innovator of the Year competition. She was also second prize winner in the 2001 British Female Inventor of the Year competition. After a long career in print and publishing Ann decide to tackle the problem of very short print runs for bound books. Now she has built a machine capable of binding and trimming up to four books at a time as they come off the press. For the first time short run printing, producing paperbacks as strong as hardbacks, becomes practical and cost effective. This problem has been a nuisance in the industry for decades, her machine design is affordable for small print shops. This long overdue process will undoubtedly be successfully and be introduced worldwide. A doubleback multiple-copy short-run bookbinding machine.
