Anna Keichline

KEICHLINE, Anna, American architect and inventor, b-1890. After obtaining her degree from Cornell in Ithica, NY, Anna was the first woman to be registered as an architect in the state of Pennsylvania. The holder of a number of patents in the 1920s, the most significant being a wall-mounted folding bed. These are still used in small flats where space is minimal. Other items were toys, furniture and a compressed-air radiator/dryer.
