Denise Lemiere

LEMIERE, Denise, French optician. The inventor of dog spectacles, with a strap under the jaw and a buckle behind the dog’s head. The intended usage is for  (a) corrective vision (b) after eye surgery (c) to keep out wind/dust (when the dog has its head out of a car window). Denise’s invention was made public in 1975, the spectacles come in several common sizes
