HIRON, Maureen, British physical education teacher, bridge expert and games inventor. Maureen has represented England at bridge (as has her husband). After giving up teaching she discovered the facility to invent games, so they formed Hiron Games Ltd in 1993. Within 6 weeks of launch, Continuo became a best-seller, Quadwrangle, Quiz-wrangle, Cavendish and Chip all became fast successes. Later they formed Rhino Games Ltd, in partnership with a Swiss company, to market card games. Products include Duo, Croque, 77, Teddy’s Party, Rhino’s Word Game and The A-Pack.
