The Sublime to the Gor Blimey! - David Wardell

Last week I saw an invention that made me go wow! I want one!

I am referring to the amazing Quant e-SportLimousine. This fantastic supercar is capable of 230mph and runs on sea water!

Over the years there have been many tales of inventors running cars on water - after all, H2O is, chemically, a good starting point - with conspiracy theories abounding about people being bought-off, or even worse, by rapacious oil companies. Looking at Quant, I think the 'cat is now out of the bag'.

This new technology is wonderful but it demonstrates the invention principle of 'incremental improvement'. Take a look at this video (made by my good friend Dave Melton) which shows a Lister engine being run on tap water:

Isn't it fabulous? I think it's got a long way to go before attaining 230mph though! Dave Melton (known to his friends as 'Crazy Dave') is that rare thing - a successful inventor.
