Caroline Gledhill

GLEDHILL, Caroline, English engineer, b-1973. The Young Engineer of Britain in 1992, winning an award from the Engineering Council. At age 19 she was the first woman recipient. While working at RACAL company on a work-study course, Caroline devised a cheap, high-quality, measuring instrument for high-speed tape-recorders. Also she won the Women into Science & Engineering Award for the best project.
